Leadership and female participation
One of the main objectives of Science Up is to increase the participation and leadership of women in teaching, research projects, technology transfer, innovation, and science —and technology— based entrepreneurship within the faculties of science.
Therefore, the modernization of undergraduate and graduate teaching processes must include cultural transformations that work to reduce gender gaps in the professional field and its disciplines.
In line with the above, the Consortium will —across all pillars of the Strategic Plan, equally— implement strategies to promote female participation and leadership in the communities of the three universities. In addition, Science Up will promote the vocation for science and technology among students in the early stages of technical education and at technical training centers, and especially among young women, to address the gender gaps present in STEM disciplines.
